Ancient map of the middle east

Possibly an ancient map of the middle east?

Possibly an ancient map of the middle east?

Maybe it’s just, me but this map appears to plot the coast line of the modern day Arabian peninsula, India, the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. This guy thinks it’s some sort of astrological chart (which it may very well be!) but when I first saw the image, I immediately thought it resembled modern day middle east asia.

I’m going to do a little more research on continental drift and into the history of this painting and update this post with my findings.
